Soleil Metals is one of the leading gold producers in Peru with 450 TPD combined permitted capacity. The company purchases gold ore from Artisanal and Small-scale Gold Miners (ASM) who meet minimum legal, social and environmental requirements and exports the gold produced on international markets. Soleil Metals’ uniqueness lies in its ability to create a responsible gold supply chain from mine to market, while scaling it up.
This model has two consequences:
OCIM, Soleil Metals’ parent company, is a partner of the Swiss Better Gold Initiative and is accredited as a full member of the LBMA.
Over time, its teams based in Paris, Geneva and Lima have developed complementary expertise in the physical and financial trading of precious metals, in the compliance and due diligence challenges of the ASM sector and in the operational realities on the field.
This expertise gives OCIM a privileged role in bringing together the previously distant expectations of the various players in the industry and in creating integrated, responsible and traceable supply chains.
Such a mission statement is deployed through a wide range of activities in the precious metals value chains, from small producers to intermediary refineries and aggregators to LBMA refiners seeking responsible supplies of material.
Soleil Metals is a key aggregation point in the upstream gold value chain in the south of Peru. Its two processing units act as single aggregation points of entry for local artisanal and small-scale miners. To whom they offer a full range of processing services, that range from gold bearing feedstock delivery to Gold doré exporting towards buyers ans users, such as refining companies and jewelers.
