Soleil Metals Participated in Peru’s First National Multi-Hazard Emergency Drill

At Soleil Metals, we believe that safety is built every day. Every drill, training session, and preventive action reflects our commitment to protecting people, strengthening our preparedness and response capabilities, and fostering a culture grounded in care, accountability, and respect for life.

On May 29, 2026, our teams actively participated in Peru’s National Multi-Hazard Emergency Drill across our Lima Corporate Office and our Victoria and Yacari processing plants, reaffirming our commitment to safety, emergency preparedness, and operational resilience.

Under the national campaign theme “Choose to Be Prepared,” led by Peru’s National Institute of Civil Defense (INDECI), this exercise provided an opportunity to assess our readiness, reinforce emergency response protocols, and strengthen a prevention-oriented culture aligned with national disaster risk management policies and guidelines.

As a country located within one of the world’s most seismically active regions and historically exposed to climate-related events such as El Niño, Peru faces a range of natural hazards that require continuous preparedness. In this context, resilience is not built solely through emergency response plans; it is cultivated through awareness, training, and shared responsibility.

At Soleil Metals, we encourage every employee to embrace a culture of prevention that extends beyond the workplace and into their homes and communities, helping to strengthen preparedness and reduce vulnerability at every level.

People are at the center of everything we do. Protecting the health, safety, and well-being of our employees and contractors, business partners, a fundamental priority and a core component of our ESG commitments.

We thank all participants for their engagement and dedication throughout this exercise. Their commitment demonstrates that preparedness, coordination, and teamwork are essential to building safer workplaces, stronger communities, and a more resilient organization.

Preparedness is not limited to emergency drills; it is a capability we strengthen every day to protect our people, support our communities, and build long-term resilience.
